I’m excited to share that we’re in the process of developing “Gallery by Nealey Photo,” an online space where we’ll offer fine art prints of my photography and Vivienne Nealey’s illustrations.
I thought this would be a great project for Vivienne, who is studying web and graphic design at MCC, to build her portfolio. We had discussed the concept a few times, and I warned her that I’m a tough client, but she was eager to take it on. A day or two later, I received an email from her titled “Gallery Branding and Mockup” with an attached PDF. She created a design treatment with logo options and a color palette, along with a website wireframe designed in Adobe Illustrator and XD. As a design snob, I was planning to give her a hard time and request multiple revisions, but when I opened it up, I thought, “OK, this is cool.” She did a fantastic job creating a simple, clean design that pairs nicely with my existing photography site, https://lnkd.in/gTUkeieK. We’re excited about how it’s coming together.
Vivienne is looking for part-time work or an internship while she finishes her degree, and I know she would be a great fit for any team that needs someone who is hardworking and creative.
We’re still developing this idea, and I’d appreciate any feedback from the community. Thank you for your support!
