Food Photography - Recipe A Month
Known more recently for specializing in portraiture and editorial style photography, I also continue to pursue my love of food and food photography. Below are some of my favorite shots from a shoot I did at the end of last year for Roberts Dairy.
The Food Styling was done by local Omaha Chef and Co-founder of Block 16 (Urban Spoon Review) Jessica Joyce with some help from her partner Paul Urban. Block 16 has quickly become a favorite spot in downtown Omaha. The creative director on the project was Tom Sain of Envoy.
One of the next projects I’m working on is combining the food with the folks who create and/ or just enjoy it. Something along the lines of The Baker, Flour and Dough post.

What is an Environmental Business Headshot?
Environmental Business Headshots (using your business environment as a backdrop). Provide the look of a sophisticated editorial style portrait. However by utilizing the same background and setup for several subjects you can take advantage of economies of scale. Besides improving your companies image, quality headshots make happier employees.
I recently finished a series of business portraits for Quality Living, Inc. one of the nation's premiere providers of services to individuals with brain injuries, spinal cord injuries or severe physical disabilities. We had a great time photographing over thirty executives and key staff members -- you can see a few of the results below.

Creative Potential In Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4
Adobe just released Photoshop Lightroom 4. Of course, I have been spending a little time exploring it’s new features. While experimenting I found some new techniques that worked great with this series of images. Almost all the tonal and color adjustments were made PS Lightroom 4 (only minor PS work done). I will say that they had adjustments done twice in Lightroom, once on the raw files and then on the edited Photoshop file. Click on the images for a larger version.
